Andy Lewis set to join Sackers as partner
Sackers today announced that Andy Lewis will be joining the firm as a partner on 4 November from Travers Smith.
David Saunders, senior partner, said: “Andy is a highly regarded pensions lawyer in the DB and DC space, with extensive experience of advising the trustees and sponsors of large pension funds. He is a perfect fit for Sackers, and we are delighted he approached us. His current practice, technical expertise and strong client relationship skills align perfectly with the needs of our client base and complement our already strong offering. His arrival will further accelerate our strategic ambitions in both the DB and DC spheres, and expand our involvement in DC provider work.
“This move signals our commitment to growing our position still further as the premier firm for pensions and retirement savings and embracing all opportunities.”
Andy Lewis added: “Sackers is the obvious choice for anyone wanting to advise on workplace and personal pensions at the highest level. I am enormously excited to join a team which has such a clear strategic vision and makes no secret of its determination to invest for the future and develop alongside the sector as a whole.”
Andy is well known in the industry as an ESG, sustainability and productive investment expert and is also a strong supporter of EDI initiatives. He trained and qualified at Hogan Lovells before moving to Travers Smith where he became a partner in 2019. Andy is named in the new edition of Legal 500 as an “exceptional lawyer”.
