This seminar is now full. However, we are running a webinar on the same topic on 12 March – click here to register.
With just months to go before the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) transforms data protection requirements in the UK, this session will look at some of the key final steps trustees (and employers) should be taking now to ensure their pension schemes are in shape. Particular challenges we will consider include:
- Controller v Processor – drilling down from our October 2017 seminar, looking at some examples to help distinguish what can be a very fine dividing line between these two essential roles and the contractual obligations flowing from them
- Individuals’ rights – looking at what they are, what members need to know, and what processes need to be in place to deliver under the GDPR
- Trustee protections – with fines of up to €20 million (£17 million) or 4% of worldwide turnover a possibility, what protections might be in place to help trustees
We will also allocate time during the session for a general “troubleshooting” section, allowing issues trustees are grappling with to be addressed.
