Emma Martin contributes to Redington’s Future of Retirement Income report
Senior counsel Emma Martin has contributed an article to Redington’s first Future of Retirement Income publication, which captures the complexities faced by DC savers nearing and in retirement.
Bringing together leading experts from across the pensions industry, the publication highlights the much-needed debate on the state of the retirement income system and the steps needed to achieve better outcomes in retirement for DC members moving forward.
Emma’s article looks at the regulatory framework for DC decumulation and highlights the current divergence in approach between TPR and the FCA. She asks what the future holds and concludes that wide-ranging regulatory changes are needed to clarify and coordinate the obligations on both trustees and pension providers.
