I advise trustees and employers on a broad range of pensions issues across both DB and DC arrangements.

I help clients with the various issues that they encounter whilst running their arrangements. This includes assisting with scheme documentation, governance issues, member-related matters and data protection questions. I also regularly deliver training to trustee boards.

I particularly enjoy helping clients with large-scale projects and have recently advised on a number of derisking and GMP equalisation and rectification projects.

Recent experience

• advising trustees on the largest ever bulk annuity transaction from pension schemes to an insurer in February 2023
• advising the trustees of a FTSE 100 company’s two pension schemes on their ongoing GMP rectification and equalisation projects
• assisting the trustees of a large news agency’s response to a cyber incident and data breach
• advising trustees on the legal implications of transfers to DC master trusts
• assisting trustees with their ongoing governance requirements, including preparation of and review of chair’s statements.
