Aaron Dunning-Foreman comments in Corporate Adviser on the potential for claims against DC schemes if member expectations are not met

Associate, Aaron Dunning-Foreman, has written in Corporate Adviser on the potential for a rise in claims from members of Defined Contribution (DC) schemes if their expectations around the performance of their retirement funds are not met.

There are 35 million members of DC schemes in the UK in 2020, with the vast majority of members in default funds. Studies have also shown that a large majority don’t respond to member communications. Aaron comments that many members will approach retirement to find that their fund has not grown as expected, and may turn to the growing claims management industry to make a claim.
